Life

Back when I was in middle and high school, I took 2 months every summer to travel to the Midwest and visit my grandparents (and various other family members.) Once I got into college, my part-time job only allowed for three weeks to make that trip, and now that I'm in the "real world", I'm lucky if
I can make it a whole week!

Due partly to the arrival of baby Maclin, and that fact that I wanted to get away for a bit, I took a week long trip this summer. It was a jam packed week of events, half of which all seemed to revolve around Ankeny-fest, a festival held in Ankeny,  Iowa every summer.

I got to spend a Saturday with my cousins, and we attended the parade.

The next night, I got to go back to Ankeny-fest, this time for Gyros and fireworks. (Dinner wasn't until almost 9pm, so I ate the gyro way to fast to think about taking a photo!)

I didn't get many more photos on the trip. I did get a few more shots in with family and baby Maclin during lunch just before heading to the airport though.

It was a great trip, and hopefully I see them even more in November and February!

Welcome to the "Life" page, where I tend to update regularly with life events that fall outside my career choice.
